Overview of Toftil

Toftil is the second largest city in the Faroe Islands, located on the east coast of the island of Esturoy in the North Atlantic Ocean, with a population of about 2,000. An important administrative and commercial center, the town is known for the magnificent fjords and green mountains that surround it.

Toftil is situated at the end of a deep-water fjord and is surrounded by the highest peak in the Faroe Islands, Mount Sletara (880 meters).
