The town retains the simplicity of a traditional Swiss village, with a friendly community and mostly French-speaking residents. Agriculture and light industry are the mainstays of the town, and it is easily accessible to neighboring tourist attractions such as the Montreux Jazz Festival. As the "backyard" of the Lake Geneva Region, Jungswihr is known for its livability and slow pace of life, making it an ideal place to experience the natural and cultural charms of Switzerland.
