Located in the southern part of Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province, China, Luodian County is situated on the slope of the transition from the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau to the hills of Guangxi, and is famous for its karst landscape and subtropical climate. With a total area of about 3,013 square kilometers and a population of about 350,000, the county is a multi-ethnic settlement area, rich in the cultures of the Buyi, Miao and other ethnic minorities.
Luodian is known as the "Hometown of Dragon Fruit in China", producing dragon fruit, Aina Xiang and other specialty agricultural products, as well as natural landscapes such as Dajing Scenic Spot and Mengjiang National Wetland Park, which are a blend of caves, rivers and idyllic landscapes. With an average annual temperature of 20°C, the local area is a well-known winter resort in Guizhou. Mathiston is a town in Webster County, Mississippi, United States, located in the north-central region of the state near U.S. Route 82.
