Liuhe District is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, People's Republic of China, located in the northern part of Nanjing, on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, and is an important part of the Nanjing metropolitan area. With a long history dating back to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods, the area is rich in cultural heritage and natural landscapes, such as the Liuhe National Geopark and Lingyan Mountain Scenic Area. Liuha is famous for its specialties such as Longchi Carp and Liuha Pig's Head Meat, and has continued to develop economically as an industrial and agricultural base for Nanjing.
