Located in the western part of Anhui Province in China, Lu'an is the center city of the Dabie Mountain region and an important part of the Hefei Metropolitan Area. As a national transportation hub, Lu'an enjoys significant economic and locational advantages thanks to the Ningxi Railway and the Shanghai-Hangzhou-Rongzhou High Speed Railway, which connect the city to the north and south.
The city is famous for its "Lu'an Gua Pian" green tea, one of the top ten famous teas in China, with a history of tea culture dating back to the Tang Dynasty. Lu'an also boasts national natural landscapes such as Tiantangzhai and Wanfo Lake, and is rich in ecological resources, known as the "Green Pure Land".
As an old revolutionary area, Lu'an is known as the "Cradle of the Red Army", and Jinzhai County is the second largest general county in China. Nowadays, Lu'an has formed a diversified industrial system of equipment manufacturing, new materials, modern agriculture, etc., and is accelerating its rise in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
Mawei District is located in the southeast of Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, on the south bank of the Minjiang River, and is an important harbor district of Fuzhou and an open window to the outside world. It is famous for "Mawei Harbor", which has been an important node of the Maritime Silk Road since the Song Dynasty, and has become the cradle of China's modern navy, industry and education due to the "Mawei Shipbuilding" in modern times, which carries a profound cultural heritage of shipbuilding. Nowadays, Mawei, relying on the advantages of deep-water harbor, vigorously develops port industry, modern logistics and marine economy, and at the same time, integrates into the construction of Fuzhou Area of Fujian Pilot Free Trade Zone to promote scientific and technological innovation and industrial upgrading. The natural landscape and humanistic relics in the area are intertwined, and the Luoxing Pagoda and the Shipbuilding Culture Ruins Group have witnessed its transformation from an ancient merchant port to a modernized new city, making it a coastal urban area that is both historically significant and energetic.
