Makhado is a city in the northern part of the Limpopo Province of South Africa, near the border with Zimbabwe.Originally named Louis Trichardt, the city was renamed in 2014 in honor of the 19th-century Vaakan leader Makhado wa Mathatha. Located in a subtropical climate zone with warm, humid summers and mild winters, the city is an important agricultural and commercial center in the Limpopo province, producing tropical fruits such as oranges, mangoes, and nuts, and is surrounded by dense forests and nature reserves that attract eco-tourism enthusiasts. As a gateway town to the northern border, Mark Haddow is a blend of diverse cultures, with local markets preserving traditional handicrafts and culinary specialties, making it a unique destination for experiencing the South African countryside.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims.
