Located in the central part of Hunan Province, China, Loudi is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hunan Province, situated in the hinterland of central Hunan, bordered by Xiangtan in the east, Hengyang in the south, Shaoyang in the west and Yiyang in the north. This city is famous for its rich natural resources and history and culture.
Loudi has a long history, dating back to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, and is one of the important birthplaces of Chu culture.
