Longyao County is located in the south of Hebei Province and the central part of Xingtai City, situated in the plains of southern Hebei, with a warm-temperate continental monsoon climate, covering a total area of 749 square kilometers and a population of about 500,000 people. It is the ancestral home of Wei Zheng, the famous prime minister of the Tang Dynasty, and Li Bai, the poet.
