Situated in the northern part of the Sichuan Basin and the upper reaches of the Jialing River, Lizhou District is the political, economic and cultural center of Guangyuan City, known as the "Gateway to North Sichuan". Located at the southern foot of Qinba Mountain Range, Lizhou integrates the Shu Road culture and landscape aura, both with Huangze Temple (China's only Wuzetian sacrificial temple), Thousand Buddha Cliffs and other historical relics, witnessing the millennium of the Queen's hometown of the cultural lineage; but also situated on the White Dragon Lake, Fenghuangshan Mountain and other natural landscapes, with a high rate of forest coverage and significant ecological advantages. As an important node of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle and Guanzhong Plain City Cluster, Lizhou has convenient transportation, with the Xicheng High Speed Railway, Lanzhou-Yuzhou Railway and Jingkun Expressway running through the whole territory, which is a hub connecting the southwest and northwest. In recent years, Leizhou, relying on cultural and tourism integration and green industry, is accelerating to build a modern urban area suitable for living, working and traveling, and has become a bright pearl in the north of Sichuan.
Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger. The city is located in the lower Niger River basin around the climate of the tropical desert climate, hot and dry throughout the year, the average annual precipitation is less than 300 millimeters. The economy is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, and the surrounding areas are rich in millet, sorghum and livestock. Diffa, as a regional trade center, undertakes the function of cross-border trade with neighboring countries, such as Nigeria, and is especially famous for the trade of livestock, agricultural products and handicrafts. The city is culturally diverse, with Hausa, Tuareg and Kanuri ethnic groups living in the area, and is unique in its crafts such as traditional leather weaving and silversmithing. Despite infrastructural challenges, Diffa remains an important economic and cultural node in the south-east of the Niger, thanks to its strategic location and rich cultural heritage.
