Liujiang is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, located in the north central part of Guangxi. It is located in the lower reaches of the Liujiang River, hence its name. It is bordered by Luzhai County in the east, Laibin City in the south, Liucheng County in the west, and downtown Liuzhou City in the north. It has a total area of 2539 square kilometers and a population of about 540,000 people. It has a superior geographical position and convenient transportation, and is an important hub connecting Guizhong and Guibei.
Liujiang has a long history and is one of the important birthplaces of Zhuang culture, with rich ethnic traditions and folk activities. The economy is dominated by industry, focusing on the development of auto parts, machinery manufacturing and building materials industries, while agriculture is dominated by rice, sugar cane and fruit cultivation. In recent years, Liujiang has been actively integrated into the industrial system of Liuzhou City, becoming an important support point for regional economic growth.
Liujiang has beautiful natural scenery, with karst landforms and idyllic landscapes along the Liujiang River. Famous attractions include Baipeng Lotus Garden, Chengtuan Leisure Agriculture Zone and Ligao Qinghua Pear Base. The locality organizes annual lotus festival and other folk activities to attract a large number of tourists. With its unique landscape culture, idyllic experience and Zhuang ethnic flavor, Liujiang has become a popular destination for short-distance travel around Liuzhou.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
