Linli County is located in the northern part of China's Hunan Province, under Changde City, in the middle and lower reaches of the river, with a total area of about 1,203 square kilometers. The area has a long history and is one of the important birthplaces of the Chu culture, with cultural sites such as Songyu City and Jiuli Chu Tomb Group. Linli has a predominantly agricultural economy, producing rice, cotton, oilseed rape and other crops, as well as rich mineral resources, with gypsum reserves among the highest in the country.
Linli has convenient transportation, with the Jiao Liu Railway and G55 Erguang Expressway running through the whole territory, and about 50 kilometers away from Changde Taohuayuan Airport. The local natural landscape and human resources are intermingled, and the Taifu Mountain Scenic Spot and Lin Boqu's former residence are popular tourist destinations. In recent years, Linli has been actively developing specialty industries and eco-tourism, becoming a county economic unit with potential in northern Hunan.
McLaughlin is a city in Corson County, South Dakota, United States, located in the north-central part of the state, adjacent to the North Dakota border.
