Lingyuan is located in the western part of China's Liaoning Province, under the city of Chaoyang, and is situated at the junction of Liaoning, Hebei, and Inner Mongolia, making it an important transportation hub connecting North China and Northeast China. The city has a total area of about 3,278 square kilometers and a population of about 650,000, mainly Han Chinese, with Manchu, Mongolian and other minorities. Lingyuan has a long history of human activity dating back to the Neolithic era, with archaeological sites such as the Hongshan Culture. The economy is based on agriculture, minerals and manufacturing, and is rich in crops such as corn and sorghum, as well as mineral resources such as iron and gold. Transportation is convenient, with the Beijing-Harbin Railway and the Changsha-Shenzhen Expressway running through the whole territory. Lingyuan is also known for its hot spring resources and natural beauty, making it a popular destination for regional tourism.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
