Located in the northeastern part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, Lingui District is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Guilin City, and is the seat of the Guilin Municipal Government as well as the new political and economic center. Located at the southern end of the Xiang-Gui Corridor, it has a total area of 2,202 square kilometers and a resident population of about 500,000 people. Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger.
