Lianhua County is located in the western part of China's Jiangxi Province, belonging to the city of Ji'an. It is situated in the middle part of the Luoxiao Mountain Range, and is an important part of the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base Area. The county covers an area of 1,062 square kilometers and has a population of about 270,000, mainly Han Chinese, with a strong Hakka culture. As a famous "red county", Lianhua was the place where the troops of the Autumn Harvest Uprising were reorganized and where the decision to lead the troops to Jinggang Mountain was made.
Lianhua County has an excellent ecological environment, with a forest coverage rate of over 70%, and natural scenic spots such as Yuhu Mountain and Hanshan Forest Park. Lotus, tea oil, rice and other agricultural products are abundant in the area, and "Lotus Blood Duck" is listed in the provincial intangible cultural heritage. In terms of transportation, the Hengchaji Railway and Quannan Expressway pass through the city, and Jinggangshan Airport is about 1.5 hours away by car.
As a former Central Soviet County and a national poverty-stricken county (to be lifted out of poverty in 2019), Lianhua is vigorously developing eco-tourism and green agriculture, and after the opening of the Changlian Expressway in 2020, it will be further integrated into the economic circle of West Jiangxi, and will gradually become an eco-cultural tourism destination in the Xiang-Gan Border Region.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
