Situated in the southeastern part of China's Gansu Province, Liangdang County is part of Longnan City and is located in the junction zone of Shanxi-Gansu-Sichuan, dominated by mountainous terrain, with a temperate climate and rich natural resources. The county has a long history and is an area of ancient Qiang activity, with a red cultural background, such as the former site of the Liangdang Mutiny and other memorial sites. The economy is based on agriculture and tourism, with specialties such as walnuts and edible mushrooms in abundance, and the gradual development of eco-tourism. Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger.
