Lelydorp, the capital of Suriname's Wanica District, is located about 18 kilometers south of the capital Paramaribo and is one of Suriname's important satellite towns. Named after the Dutch water engineer Cornelis Lely, the town once developed as an agricultural and commercial center. Nowadays, Lelydorp is connected to the interior of Suriname by its convenient transportation location, and the surrounding area is dominated by banana and rice cultivation. The local market is full of multicultural characteristics, blending the living atmosphere of Suriname's Indian, Javanese and Creole communities, and is the epitome of experiencing the integration of urban and rural areas and multiculturalism in Suriname.
Liuhe District is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, People's Republic of China, located in the northern part of Nanjing, on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, and is an important part of the Nanjing metropolitan area. With a long history dating back to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods, the area is rich in cultural heritage and natural landscapes, such as the Liuhe National Geopark and Lingyan Mountain Scenic Area. Liuha is famous for its specialties such as Longchi Carp and Liuha Pig's Head Meat, and has continued to develop economically as an industrial and agricultural base for Nanjing. Conveniently located adjacent to the main city of Nanjing, it is well connected through a network of subways and highways, making it an important node in the Yangtze River Delta region.
