Leiyang City, located in the southeast of Hunan Province, China, is a county-level city under the administration of Hengyang City and is situated in the middle reaches of the Lei River, a tributary of the Xiangjiang River. As one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization, Leiyang was named after "Shennong created Leiyang" and has a history of more than 2,200 years, and is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Farming Culture".
Leiyang is the hometown of Cai Lun, the inventor of papermaking, and there are historical relics such as Cai Lun's Tomb and Cai Hou Ancestral Hall in the city. Du Fu's Tomb, Huanxiu Building and other monuments highlight the profound humanistic heritage. In terms of natural landscape, Leiyang Danxia Landform is unique and Leishui National Wetland Park offers eco-tourism experience.
Leiyang is an important energy base and commercial grain production base in southern Hunan, rich in coal resources, known as the "coal capital of southern Hunan". The Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Wuhan-Guangzhou High Speed Railway, 107 National Highway and other major transportation routes run through the whole territory, forming a convenient transportation network. In recent years, it has been actively developing modern agriculture and tourism to promote economic diversification.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
