Lancang, known as Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, belongs to Pu'er City of Yunnan Province, is located in the southwest border of China, bordering with Myanmar, and is one of the important gateways of Yunnan to South and Southeast Asia. It is the main settlement of the Lahu ethnic group in China. The Lahu ethnic group has a deep cultural heritage, and its traditional festivals, such as the "Lahu Expansion Festival" (Gourd Festival), Lusheng Dance and Pendulum Dance, are unique, displaying a rich ethnic flavor.
The natural scenery of Lancang is exquisite, and it has the ancient tea forest cultural landscape of Jingmai Mountain, which is China's first world heritage site of "Pu'er Tea Cultural Landscape". The thousand-year-old tea tree clusters and the ethnic villages of Dai and Brown reflect each other in an interesting way, which is a model for the integration of tea tourism. In addition, the Lancang River passes through the country, nurturing rich biodiversity and diverse ethnic cultures, while relying on the advantages of the border location, the development of cross-border trade and eco-tourism, and has become a bright pearl in the construction of the "One Belt, One Road" in Yunnan.
