Lakatoro is the capital and largest town of Malekula Province in Vanuatu, located on the east coast of Malekula, the second largest island in the country, bordering the Coral Sea in the Pacific Ocean. Puning is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, China, which is located in the coastal economic zone of eastern Guangdong and is one of the important birthplaces of Chaoshan culture. As a famous hometown of overseas Chinese, Puning has about 2 million overseas Chinese, and its economy is mainly based on light industry, commerce and specialty agriculture, with well-developed garment, medicine and food processing industries, and is known as "China's Textile Industry Base".
