Laishui County is located in the west-central part of China's Hebei Province, under Baoding City, and in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei synergistic development area, with a total area of about 1,650 square kilometers. The county is dominated by mountainous and hilly terrain and has a temperate continental monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. Laixi has a long history of human activities as early as the Neolithic Age, and its territory boasts national scenic spots such as Nosanpo, which is famous for its natural landscape and eco-tourism.
The economy of Lotus County is based on agriculture, tourism and mining, producing agricultural products such as walnuts and persimmons, while relying on the Wild Three Slopes scenic spot to drive the development of the service industry. The local mineral resources are abundant, such as marble and granite. In recent years, Lotus has actively integrated into the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Economic Circle to promote green industry and rural revitalization.
Lai Shui is a red culture center with anti-Japanese war memorial sites, and the Nosanpo scenic spot, which combines natural scenery and folk culture, is listed in the World Geopark. Convenient transportation, with the Jingyuan Railway and high-speed road network connecting Beijing, Baoding and other cities, is suitable for eco-tourism and historical and cultural exploration.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
