Labasa is an important town in the Northern Region of Fiji, located in the northern part of Vanua Levu and is one of the main economic centers of the island. Known for its sugar cane cultivation and processing industry, the town is surrounded by extensive sugar cane plantations and is known as the "Sugar Capital of Fiji".
