La Conquista is a quiet town in the central highlands of Nicaragua, in the department of Boaco, on the transportation corridor between Managua and Granada, at an altitude of about 500 meters above sea level, with a mild and pleasant climate. The city, whose name means "conquest" and bears the imprint of its colonial past, is now an agricultural economy, and the fertile land around it is one of Nicaragua's most important suppliers of agricultural products, with crops such as coffee, corn and beans. Most of the inhabitants are mestizo and retain their traditional farming culture. Every year, during the harvest festival, traditional dances, markets and religious ceremonies are held in the streets and alleys, displaying the rich local flavor. Although the city is small in size, the simplicity of the people and the untouched highlands make it an ideal place to experience Nicaragua's rural life, attracting travelers in search of peace and quiet.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
