La Colle Mena is a city in the Department of Caaguazú, Paraguay, located in the eastern region of the country, about 150 kilometers from the capital, Asunción. The city is located on the east bank of the Paraguay River and has a subtropical climate with an average annual temperature of about 22°C and abundant rainfall, making it suitable for agriculture.
The economy of La Colle Mena is mainly based on agriculture, mainly planting crops such as soybeans, corn and cotton, and the livestock industry is also more developed. In recent years, it has gradually developed the agro-processing industry and tourism, and the local handicrafts and traditional cheese-making are quite distinctive.
The city retains its colonial architectural style, and historical buildings such as St. Roch Church are important cultural landmarks. Traditional festivals held in July attract many tourists, and the surrounding natural beauty, such as the Yeguaçu Falls (partially located in the neighboring area), provides resources for eco-tourism.
Connected to Asunción and the Brazilian border by national roads, Lacor Mena has a population of approximately 30,000 (2020 estimate), with Spanish and Guarani as the main languages, and the city's infrastructure is continually being improved.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
