Kotor is a historic city on the Adriatic coastline of Montenegro, famous for its well-preserved medieval old town and the magnificent Bay of Kotor. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is situated on the shore of the Bay of Kotor, one of the deepest fjords in Europe, and is surrounded by mountains on three sides and the sea on the other, just like a natural picture. The winding stone paths, Romanesque churches, Venetian-style bell towers and majestic defensive walls of the old city tell of a thousand years of seafaring and trading history. Visitors can climb the walls of the old town for a panoramic view of the fjord, or stroll through St. Tryphon's Church to experience the charm of multicultural intermingling. As an important tourist destination in Montenegro, Kotor attracts visitors not only for its natural beauty, but also for its unique maritime culture and cuisine (e.g. seafood risotto, marinated fish in olive oil), which is the jewel of the Adriatic coast.
Siming District is located in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China, and is the center of Xiamen's urban area and the core economic and cultural district. With a total area of about 84 square kilometers, Siming District is densely populated and highly urbanized, and is known for its thriving commerce, long history and beautiful seaside environment.
The district is home to several famous attractions, such as Gulangyu Island (a World Heritage Site), Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, Nanputuo Temple and Xiamen University, which attract a large number of tourists.
