Khost is the capital of Khost Province in the eastern province of Afghanistan, adjacent to the Pakistan border, and is one of the major transportation hubs between Afghanistan and South Asia. The city is centered on the Pashtun culture, and the local population is mostly engaged in farming and herding, with fruits (e.g., pomegranates, grapes) and handicrafts as its characteristic products. As a key link between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Khost has played an important role in historical trade and cultural exchanges, but has faced certain challenges to its development in recent years due to the regional situation. Nevertheless, its unique geographical location and multiculturalism have made it a central city in eastern Afghanistan that cannot be ignored.
Neighboring County is subordinate to Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, located in the eastern part of the Sichuan Basin, the western foot of the middle section of the Huaying Mountains, east of Chongqing Dianjiang County, Changshou District border, is an important gateway to the east of Sichuan out of Sichuan. The topography of the county is predominantly hilly, with a mild climate and abundant produce, known as the "eastern Sichuan granary". It has a long history and deep cultural heritage, with natural and cultural landscapes such as the Neoshui Cliff Tomb Group and the Yulin River. In recent years, relying on the location advantage of neighboring Chongqing, neighboring water county actively integrates into the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing region's twin-city economic circle, and continues to make great efforts in modern agriculture, cultural and tourism integration and industrial development, becoming a vibrant emerging county at the junction of Sichuan and Chongqing.
