Halba is the capital of the Akkar Governorate in northern Lebanon, located in the plains between the Lebanese mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, about 120 kilometers from the capital Beirut. As the administrative and commercial center of the region, Halba is known for its multiculturalism and rich history, with a predominantly Sunni Muslim population and a coexistence of Christian and other communities.
