Bali County is located in the northwestern part of Shanxi Province of China, belonging to Xinzhou City, and is situated at the junction of Jin, Shaanxi and Mongolia, with an average elevation of about 1,400 meters, which is typical of the hilly landscape of the Loess Plateau.
