Kang County is located in the southeastern part of Gansu Province in China, belonging to Longnan City, and is situated at the junction of Shaanxi, Gansu and Sichuan Provinces. The county is characterized by mountainous terrain, humid climate, rich natural resources, forest coverage of more than 70%, known as "Longshang Jiangnan". Kang County is an important ecological barrier area in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, with remarkable biodiversity.
Kang County takes agriculture as its leading industry, producing tea, walnuts, edible fungi and other specialties, and "Kang County Black Fungus" is a national geographical indication product. The local area retains the traditional Qiang and Tibetan folk culture, and the rural tourism and ecological recreation industry has been developing rapidly in recent years. Transportation is mainly by highway, with Lanhai Highway and National Highway 567 running through the whole area.
Kang County has natural scenic spots such as Yangba Subtropical Eco-tourism Area and Meiyuan Gou, which are famous for its primitive forests, waterfalls and streams, and tea plantation scenery. There are ancient architectural clusters preserved from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the annual "Rural Tourism Festival" attracts a large number of tourists, making it an important ecological tourism destination in Longnan.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
