Kangilinnguit, located on the southwest coast of Greenland in the district of Keketalik, is an important research and military base in Greenland. Formerly known as Grønnedal, the town was once a core base for the Danish Navy, but today the Greenland Home Rule Government operates an Arctic monitoring facility in conjunction with Denmark, specializing in climate change, glacier research and monitoring of the polar environment. With a population of around 500, mostly researchers and their families, the town's infrastructure is designed to support polar survival, with long polar nights in the winter, short polar days in the summer, and magnificent views of the surrounding fjords and ice sheets. As a key point of penetration into the Arctic Circle, Kangerak is not only a research hub, but also an outpost for observing the dynamics of the Greenland Ice Sheet.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
