Located on the southwestern coast of the Caribbean island nation of Antigua and Barbuda, Port Pleasant is an important cruise ship port of call and tourist destination for the country. Surrounded by clear blue-green waters and white sandy beaches, the harbor is known for its excellent resort facilities and water activities.
Nestled in a deep-sea harbor on the southwest side of the island of Antigua, Pleasant Harbor enjoys a tropical maritime climate with an average year-round temperature of approximately 27°C. The dry season (December-April) is sunny and dry and is the peak season for tourism, while the rainy season (July-November) is occasionally characterized by brief periods of rainfall that are still suitable for sightseeing.
The harbor area is home to duty-free shopping malls, restaurants and bars where visitors can experience diving, sailing and beach relaxation. Nearby attractions include Nelson's Dockyard, a historic British naval base, and Mount Shirley with its panoramic views.
Pleasant Harbour hosts international cruise ships through St. John's Deepwater Harbour, approximately 20 minutes from the capital city of St. John's. It is also easily accessible by car or boat from Antigua's VC Bird International Airport.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
