Jishui County is located in the central part of Jiangxi Province in China, belonging to the city of Ji'an and situated in the middle reaches of the Gan River, with a total area of 2509 square kilometers. As one of the birthplaces of Luling culture, Jishui County has a history of more than 1,400 years since its establishment in the Sui Dynasty, known as "the state of articles and righteousness", has bred Yang Wanli, Xie Jinyi and other historical and cultural celebrities.
The territory is mainly hilly and mountainous, subtropical monsoon climate, the Gan River runs through the whole territory. Existing natural and humanistic landscapes such as Dadong Mountain and Yanfang Ancient Village, preserved ancient architectural complexes of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and traditional farming culture. The local specialties Jinggang honey pomelo and Jishui bamboo rot enjoy great reputation, and Qingyuan Zen culture has far-reaching influence.
Jishui is now a national commercial grain base county, electronic information, green food processing as the leading industries, G45 Daguang Expressway, Beijing-Kowloon Railway through the territory. 2023 registered population of about 530,000, the county built-up area of 18.5 square kilometers, is actively integrated into the Gan River in the middle reaches of the construction of ecological economic belt.
