Located in the western part of Hunan Province, China, Jishou is the capital and political, economic and cultural center of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. Located in the hinterland of the Wuling Mountains, it has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons and beautiful natural scenery. The city is characterized by the integration of multi-ethnic cultures, with deep cultural traditions of Tujia and Miao.
Jishou is the gateway to famous scenic spots such as Phoenix Ancient City and Dezhang Grand Canyon, and boasts landmark attractions such as Qianzhou Ancient City and Shuozhai Bridge. The local cuisine is characterized by sour and spicy food, such as western Hunan bacon and rice tofu. The economy is dominated by tourism, agriculture and light industry, with ecotourism and ethnic culture industries developing rapidly in recent years.
Jishou has convenient transportation, with Zhiliu Railway and Baomao Expressway running through the whole city, and Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport is about 1.5 hours' drive away. Surrounded by national forest parks and nature reserves, the city has a forest coverage rate of over 60%, and is known as the "Green Pearl of the Wuling Mountains".
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
