Jinxiang County is located in the southwestern part of Shandong Province, China, belonging to Jining City, and is situated at the junction of Lu, Su, Yu and Anhui provinces, with a total area of about 886 square kilometers. The county has a long history, is an important area of the birthplace of Confucian culture, has more than 2,600 years of history of city building, is known globally as the "town of garlic", annual production of garlic accounted for a quarter of the country's total output, and is China's important garlic planting, processing and export base.
Jinxiang is conveniently located near the Rilan Expressway and the Jixu Expressway, and about 80 kilometers from Jining Qufu Airport. Famous local attractions include Yangshan Ancient Town International Military Tourism Resort (Red Education Base) and Guangshansi Pagoda. The economy is characterized by agriculture as the mainstay, and synchronized development of new energy and high-end chemical industries, with a GDP of over 30 billion yuan in 2022 and a resident population of about 630,000 people.
As "China's Township of Integrity" and a national agricultural product quality safety county, Jinxiang has been actively promoting rural revitalization and industrial upgrading in recent years, combining cultural heritage and modern development vitality.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
