Jintai District is a municipal district of Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, China, located in the western part of the Guanzhong Plain, in the core of the main urban area of Baoji City, and is the political, economic and cultural center of Baoji. It is named after the ancient monument "Jintai Guan" (rumored to be the practice place of Qiu Qiqi, the founder of the Quanzhen School of Taoism), and its history can be traced back to the Western Zhou Dynasty, when the Duke of Qin Mu built the "Jintai" here to recruit sages, leaving behind the good story of "Thousands of gold to buy bones". "The history of the area dates back to the Western Zhou Dynasty. The district has the Beishouling Neolithic site, the mausoleum of the King of Qin in the Tang Dynasty and other cultural relics, the Baoji Bronze Museum collection of national treasures such as Hezun, 逨 plate, highlighting the "township of bronzes" of the deep-rooted heritage. As an important node of the Silk Road, Jintai District combines the culture of Zhou and Qin, folk customs and modern urban style, and is an important destination for experiencing the culture of Xifu and exploring the origin of Chinese civilization.
