Kinmen County is a county in Taiwan Province, located at the mouth of Xiamen Bay in Fujian Province, across the sea from Xiamen, and is an important window for cross-strait exchanges. Kinmen County consists of the Kinmen Islands, Lieyu, Bold and Ergui islands, with a total area of 151.65 square kilometers. With a long history, Kinmen is one of the birthplaces of Minnan culture and has preserved a large number of traditional Minnan buildings, such as ancient houses and temples. Kinmen is famous for its specialties, such as sorghum wine and tribute sugar, and is an important tourist destination in Taiwan.
