Mirror Iron is an administrative district under the jurisdiction of Jiayuguan City in Gansu Province, China, located in the western part of the Hexi Corridor and the northern foothills of the Qilian Mountains. The area is named for the rich mirror iron ore resources within its territory, and is one of the important iron and steel industrial bases in Northwest China. Mirror Iron District relies on the Jiuquan Iron and Steel Company to develop the formation of industrial towns, both mining and production and processing functions.

Geographically close to Jiayuguan Pass, it has a temperate continental arid climate with a large temperature difference between day and night. The history of mining and the modern industrial facilities in the area form a unique landscape.
