Located in the center of Jilin Province, Jilin City is the second largest city in Jilin Province, situated in the transition zone from the Changbai Mountains to the Songnen Plain, with the Songhua River meandering through the city. It has a long history and was once one of the birthplaces of the Manchus, and was an important military and commercial town during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Jilin City is renowned for its freezing fog wonders, which is one of China's four great natural wonders, along with the Guilin Mountains and Waters, the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, and the Stone Forests of Yunnan Province, and attracts tourists from all over the world to the crystalline freezing fog on the banks of the Songhua River in winter. At the same time, it is also an important base for the chemical industry, and its agriculture is based on rice and corn, making it a rich and productive place. Jilin City combines natural scenery and cultural heritage, with the unique charm of a northern river city and the vitality of a modern city, making it an important tourist and industrial center in the Northeast.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services.
