The liberation of Henan is not a separate country or city, but refers to the historical process of the liberation of Henan Province in China between 1948 and 1949. Located in central China, Henan Province is one of the major birthplaces of Chinese civilization and is rich in historical and cultural heritage, such as the Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang and the Yin Ruins in Anyang. Zhengzhou, the provincial capital, is an important transportation hub and economic center as a national central city.
With a total area of about 167,000 square kilometers and a population of nearly 100 million, Henan Province has a strong agricultural and industrial base and is known as the "Breadbasket of the Central Plains". The region was of strategic significance in the Liberation War, and its liberation marked a major victory for the people's army led by the Communist Party of China in the Central Plains.
Today, Henan attracts tourists from all over the world with its long history, prosperous economy and unique cultural and tourism resources, and is an important part of China's modernization.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
