Located in the eastern part of Shandong Province in China, Jiaozhou is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Qingdao City, which is situated on the shore of the Yellow Sea and Jiaozhou Bay. As an important transportation hub and economic center of Shandong Peninsula, Jiaozhou has a long history, with traces of human activities as early as the Neolithic Age, and is one of the starting points of the northern route of the "Maritime Silk Road".
Modern Jiaozhou is known for its industrial manufacturing, logistics and trade, and modern agriculture, and is home to the state-level Jiaozhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport. Famous attractions include the Shaohai National Wetland Park, Jiaozhou Sanli River Ruins and Gao Feng Han Memorial Hall, showing the fusion of natural ecology and humanistic history.
With convenient transportation, Jiaozhou is connected to the whole country through high-speed railways, highways and ports, and has a strong economic vitality, making it one of the key node cities in Shandong Province for opening up to the outside world.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
