Jiansi County is located in the southwest of Hubei Province, belonging to Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. It is situated in the hinterland of the Wuling Mountain Region, connecting Ezhou and Chongqing, and is an important node between the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the Qingjiang River Basin.
