JIANCHANG County, belonging to Huludao City of Liaoning Province, is located in the western part of Liaoning, at the northern end of the LiaoXi Corridor, adjacent to Hebei Province, and is an important node connecting Northeast and North China. It has a long history and has been a major town in western Liaoning since ancient times. It belonged to the state of Yan during the Warring States period, and was set up as a county from the Northern Wei Dynasty onwards, and was a military stronghold during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, leaving historical imprints such as the ancient city of the Warring States period, and the ruins of the Han and Tang dynasties.
