Javouhey is a municipality in the north of French Guiana, situated in the transition zone between the Atlantic coast and the tropical rainforest, about 120 kilometers from the capital Cayenne. As an important agricultural center in French Guiana, it is known for its rice, banana and tropical fruit cultivation, where traditional farming methods are maintained to provide fresh produce for the region.
