São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan Province of China, Jhongli is an important administrative, commercial and transportation hub in the region. As one of the core areas of Taoyuan, Jhongli is densely populated and economically active, and is known for its manufacturing and technology industries as well as its traditional business district. The area has transportation facilities such as Jhongli Station, which connects to major cities such as Taipei and Kaohsiung, making transportation highly accessible.
Culturally, Jhongli integrates the characteristics of multiple ethnic groups, with Minnan, Hakka and New Aboriginal cultures intertwined, and traditional temples and modern buildings coexisting. Famous attractions include Jhongli Night Market and Qingtangyuan Ecological Park, attracting tourists to experience food and natural scenery. Overall, Jhongli is a typical representative of urban development in Taiwan Province of China that combines vitality and tradition.
