São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Zalut Banner is located in the northwestern part of Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, at the southern foot of the Daxing'anling Mountains, and is an important part of the Horqin Steppe. Here is a vast area, grassland and mountain intertwined, with Zalut grassland and other natural landscapes, green grass in summer, silver in winter, beautiful in all seasons. As an area inhabited by Mongolian people, Zalut has a deep cultural heritage, with the Mongolian Long Tune Folk Song listed as a national intangible cultural heritage, and traditional customs such as the Naadam Assembly and the art of the horse-head fiddle passed down from generation to generation. Animal husbandry is a traditional pillar industry, while relying on ecological resources to develop cultural and tourism integration, attracting tourists to experience the grassland nomadic culture. With its unique natural scenery and rich folk customs, Zalut Banner has become an important window to show the charm of the Inner Mongolian grasslands.
