São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Youyi County is located in the northeastern part of Heilongjiang Province, China, belonging to Shuangyashan City, located in the hinterland of the Sanjiang Plain, neighboring with Baocheng County in the east and Jixian County in the west, Fujin City in the south across the Qixing River, and bordering with Tongjiang City in the north. As a typical agricultural county, Youyi County is an important national commodity grain base, producing soybeans, rice, corn and other crops, known as the "Pearl of the Great Northern Wilderness". Youyi County has an excellent ecological environment, with natural wetland resources, and is an important habitat for migratory birds. Youyi County has a long history, named after the Soviet Union Friendship Farm founded here in 1955, which became a symbol of Sino-Soviet agricultural cooperation, and still retains the cultural relics of the farm. In recent years, relying on agricultural resources and ecological advantages, the local area has vigorously developed the green food industry and rural tourism, which is an important window to experience the idyllic scenery of Northeast China and understand the history of the development of the Northern Great Wilderness.
