São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Yongshan County is part of Zhaotong City in Yunnan Province, located in the Wumeng Mountains in northeastern Yunnan, on the south bank of the Jinsha River, across the river from Liangshan Prefecture in Sichuan Province. County terrain is mainly mountainous, Jinsha River canyon scenery is magnificent, hinoki town moon bay and other attractions both natural and humanistic flavor. It is the "Hometown of Chinese Peppercorns", and the bamboo industry and specialty agriculture (such as snowdrop fruit and konjac) are developing vigorously, relying on hydropower resources and ecological advantages, and is gradually building a green industrial system. Many ethnic groups live here, with the Miao, Yi and other ethnic cultures intermingling, and traditional customs and folk art are unique. As an important node connecting Sichuan and Yunnan, Yongshan has both the beauty of mountains and water and the charm of humanities, and is an ecological pearl to be explored deep in the Wumeng Mountains.
