São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Yantian District is located in the eastern part of Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, China, and is an important part of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. It is bordered by Dapeng Bay in the east, Luohu District in the west, New Territories of Hong Kong in the south and Longgang District in the north, with a total area of 74.99 square kilometers. Yantian is globally famous for its international container hub port, Yantian Port, which is one of the busiest container ports in the world.
The area is rich in mountain and sea tourism resources, including attractions such as the famous Eastern Overseas Chinese Town, Dameisha Seaside Park and Xiaomeisha Resort. Yantian has a pleasant climate with an average annual temperature of 22°C. It is an important ecological recreation area in Shenzhen. As a "National Ecological Civilization Construction Demonstration Zone", Yantian adheres to green development, and at the same time vigorously develops logistics, trade and tourism based on the advantages of the port.
Yantian is conveniently connected to Shenzhen City through Yantian Road, Shenyan Road and other major roads, and Metro Line 8 is now in operation. In recent years, Yantian is accelerating the construction of the core area of the global ocean center city and striving to build a modern, international and advanced coastal city.
