São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the northern part of Tainan City, Taiwan Province of China, Xinying District is an important town in the Chia Nan Plain, known as the "Sugar City" and famous for its flourishing sugar industry in the early years. It is conveniently located near the Tainan High Speed Rail Station, which connects the major north-south transportation routes. Xinying has a rich cultural heritage, with the centuries-old Prince Temple flourishing and the old street of Tielingqiao retaining its traditional Min-style architecture, which tells the story of the prosperous business trips in the past. The area is agriculturally based, producing sugar cane, rice and other crops. In recent years, it has also combined with the cultural and creative industries to create a unique sugar museum and leisure shopping area, making it a living city that combines historical flavor with modern vitality, and a must-visit place for exploring the humanistic flavors of southern Taiwan.
