São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Xiapu County is located in the northeastern part of Fujian Province, China, under the city of Ningde, on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait, and is an important county-level administrative region along the east coast of Fujian. It is famous for its magnificent mudflat landscape and photography mecca, with a coastline of more than 400 kilometers and the largest mudflat area in the country, which is regarded as "the most beautiful mudflat in China". Xiapu is rich in seaweed, seaweed and various kinds of seafood, rich in fishery resources, and its economy is dominated by the marine industry and tourism. The area retains a profound Eastern Fujian culture, including the belief in Mazu and traditional folklore. Conveniently connected to major cities by highways and railroads, it is a unique destination for both nature and humanity.
