São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Wuchai County is located in the northwestern part of Shanxi Province, China, belonging to Xinzhou City, located in the junction of Jin, Shaanxi and Mongolia, with an average altitude of about 1400 meters, belonging to the temperate continental climate. The county is predominantly agricultural, producing potatoes, oats and small grains, and is known as the "Granary of Shanxi". Wuchai is also rich in coal resources, an important part of the regional energy economy.
Wuchai County has a unique natural landscape, with the Guanrain Mountain National Forest Park and Luye Mountain Nature Reserve located here, famous for its pristine forests, alpine meadows, and rare flora and fauna. The local cultural heritage is rich, preserving intangible cultural heritages such as traditional Jinbei folklore and Yangge opera. Conveniently connected to the Dayun Expressway in the north, it is an important node connecting Shanxi and Inner Mongolia.
